Moments Hotels Completely Missed the Mark but Made Us Laugh

You may not be able to tell from this photo, but there is actually a flight of stairs there. We know it’s impossible to tell because the carpet pattern is too confusing. We could only tell by the railings! Whoever did this terrible job should have considered the rug’s pattern and made sure each strip lined up with the other – or go with a different pattern altogether.

Instead, this stairwell is left looking like an optical illusion. It’s so bad that it camouflages the stairs; how can a person know where each stair ends and the next one begins? This stairway is an accident waiting to happen; somebody is bound to take a tumble because they can’t gauge where to put their foot. Hopefully, the hotel catches on before someone gets hurt!
